On the occasion of 75\u00a0th\u00a0<\/sup>anniversary of \u00a0Gandhi\u2019s martyrdom, \u00a0Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan, Wardha, India \u00a0and \u00a0Gandhi International, France with the \u00a0cooperation of Community of Ark, \u00a0France \u00a0 announcing Sevagram International Symposium \u00a0on the theme \u00a0\u201cGandhi and Beyond: Quest for a New World Order\u201d at the premises of historic Sevagram Ashram \u00a0of \u00a0Mahatma Gandhi. The main objective of this symposium is to provide a platform for activists, thinkers and academics of nonviolent and peace-oriented disciplines to discuss a wide range of issues pertaining to the very survival of humanity and mother earth. By bringing together socially committed participants from different parts of the globe, we aim at creating grounds for a new world order that is enduring and sustainable through fostering dialogue between various stakeholders on issues of common concern. The conference also aims at promoting the study and practice of nonviolence in every walk of life, initiate processes of introspection and rethinking of the very vision of life and living which were hitherto considered as modern and civil for the benefit of individuals and communities, networks working towards peaceful, nonviolent and just world order. The recent Covid Pandemic situation exposed the fragilities and hollowness of existing world order which compels humanity to revisit some of the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, Lanza del Vasto and others and go beyond that to address the contemporary challenges.<\/p>\n
